Pathways
to Health
Excessive consumption dietary fat, alcohol
and tobacco have been linked to a variety of adverse health
consequences such as cancer and cardiovascular disease that
represent billions of dollars in costs to employers and
untold personal suffering for employees. The Pathways to
Health program addresses these three very important health
topics. Each of the three modules, Fat Smart, Alcohol Savvy,
and Tobacco Free allow users to: 1) assess their current
health behaviors, 2) learn why changing to more healthful
behaviors is important, and 3) design specific strategies
for changing their health behaviors. Pathways includes engaging
and entertaining video vignettes, testimonials from real
people, expert responses to commonly asked question, and
strategies and guides to help participants make and maintain
positive health behavior changes. The program includes a
media rich, highly interactive CD-ROM and a companion website.
Worksites can choose to purchase the three modules in one
package or select the topic(s) of greatest interest.
